Initiative on Chicago Price Theory
Chicago University Graduate School of Business

The objective of the Initiative on Chicago Price Theory is to sustain and strengthen a powerful methodology, which emphasizes the role of prices in the fundamental functions of an economic system and which values the development of testable hypotheses, efficient modeling, and rigorous applications.

The initiative brings together scholars who share a passion for Chicago Price Theory and provides them with an infrastructure of research associates, databases and forums to conduct, present and disseminate their research. Major support for the Initiative was provided by Ephraim Gildor’s gift.

The Gildor Family Projects and Inventions
In 9th grade, participants in Mitchell Excellence 2000 have the opportunity to put their knowledge to work in creating original projects and hands-on science experiments in an after school program. The students are first introduced to a general course on "How to Create a Science Project" and then given specific, individual guidance with projects utilizing their own imagination and creativity. Each year, national contests take place at the Israel Arts and Science Academy where finalists compete in four categories: Creativity, Design, Effort and Function in Science. Winners in each category receive an appropriate prize that will enhance their future success.

The Lily and Avraham Gildor Project Week
The annual Project Week allows IASA's students to take a one-week break from their regular course activity to come together in teams for interdisciplinary projects. Under the supervision of a tutor (faculty member), students choose a topic for intensive study and prepare an exhibit to demonstrate what they have learned.
